Rumour Talk
Bidvest Wits's Sibusiso Vilakazi is the most sought after player in this current Transfer Window ahead of the 2015/16 season, with the big 3 sniffing around the clock to capture the player's signature. The Wits star did not have the best of seasons in the 2014/15 compared to the season before that where he was a big winner in the end of the year PSL awards and he later went for trials at Brondy fc in Denmark. Vilakazi at 25 is in his prime years and naturally players would be adventurous in seeking "challenges" elsewhere. However it seems as if it is not the case with "Vila", with his team putting a "not for sale" tag for their star player.
Kaizer Chiefs are known admirers of Vila for a long time they have been trying to lure the player to Naturena with no success, rumours going around are that Wits do not want no less than R15 Million. This amount and other terms have sort of put Chiefs off the race, with Sundowns now leading the race. Mamelodi Sundowns are said to have submitted an offer which will include money coupled with players moving to Bidvest Wits and that deal according to various publications such as Kickoff is under consideration.
Staying with Bidvest Wits, Sthembiso Ngcobo is said to be on his way out of the club after seeing his contract expire at the end of June. The club's CEO Jose Ferreira was quoted as saying on Sowetan “He's not in the coach's plans for this season, so we'll see what's going to happen over the next few days. There are a few things pending,” Ferreira says.
Ngcobo's future at Wits is hanging by a thread and will hope that it all goes well.
Katlego "Killer" Mphela is still on the lookout for a new club after a being released by Kaizer Chiefs, between the time he was released by Chiefs and now, he has had unsuccessful trials and both University of Pretoria ( TUKS) and Polokwane City all deals falling through due not agreeing terms with both. Many have ruled out Mphela to make a come back, the player who was once toutd as the best striker in the country according to his former coach Pitso Mosimane, now the player is finding it hard to get a club.
Tefu Mashamaite is also one of the big surprizes that happened this transfer after being released due to a fall out in nrgotiations for a new contract with Kaizer Chiefs. Tefu has had trials with American Big spenders New York Football Club, who have made signings such as David Villa and Frank Lampard amongst other signings. However Tefu's trials did not go so well, as the club opted to sign Columbian central defender Jonathan Mena ahead of him and during that time NYFC had one spot left for a foreign player prior to signing Mena and as such the signing closed any chance of Tefu signing for the club.
Masha was then linked with Cyproit side Anorthosis Famagusta, but the deal looks unlikely to happen and his agent Jazzman Mahlakgane was quoted as saying“We are not that desperate,” Mahlakgane told the Citizen.
Whilst on the other news, Itumeleng Khune is training on his own, often seen posting pictures of himself training with friends or alone. Khune is still waiting on Kaizer Chiefs Manager Bobby Motaung for a meeting which will probably be the last, after two unsuccessful meetings earlier this in June. The initial meeting had Masango and Khune together with Bobby, however nothing came out of that meeting as Bobby told the players to go "find themselves".
This has been one hell of a transfer window, full of drama and thrill and it does not look like it is stoping anytime soon, so watch the space.
